Travel Immunisations

Providing travel immunisations is not part of standard NHS services. However, practices do provide routine immunisations, which coincidentally may also be required when travelling abroad, these are:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Polio
  • Cholera
  • Typhoid
  • Hepatitis A

We can undertake the above vaccines in preparation for your travel plans on the proviso that you have previously had a travel consultation. We are not able to give these without you having a detailed consultation as they may not all be necessary or may leave you without suitable cover.

If you are travelling abroad, you should contact a travel clinic to book a consultation at least 6 weeks before departure. Consultations are not done at the surgery. They are privately run and therefore are chargeable. A consultation with a travel clinic will give you information on what vaccines you need for the area you are travelling to.

  • Please contact reception for further information or to book an appointment.
